Don't get why you call this a "leech block." Could you provide some more detail how it is rigged?
Ouch! Sorry - my fault for being in too much of a hurry with the caption - it is, as you've rightly guessed the luff block. The main is rigged multihull style with blocks on webbing strops at the luff, and fixed Antal blocks on the second and third reefs on the leach. We did try a block on the first reef at the leach, but shifted back to a simple cringle as it helped to avoid getting bights of cloth caught under the block as as we reefed. It gets a little better with each modification we make - but as a French sailor said to me here the other day, "perfection is very hard to achieve". He may well be right!
Thanks for pointing out my mistake, which I've rectified as a result.
